Truckee Job Fair

All are welcome! Held at the end of April/beginning of May every year.

Annual Truckee Job Fair

Each year, the Truckee Chamber of Commerce brings local employers and job seekers together for the annual Truckee Job Fair, a practical event with a clear purpose: helping people find work and helping businesses find reliable employees. In a town where seasonal shifts and a tight labor market are part of everyday life, the job fair plays an important role in supporting our local economy.

Held outside in collaboration with the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District at the Steve Randall Community Recreation Center the last week of April or first week of May, the Truckee Job Fair typically draws a wide mix of employers. Hospitality, construction, healthcare, retail, education, and outdoor recreation are often well represented. Job seekers can speak directly with hiring managers, learn about open positions, and get a feel for different workplaces in a short amount of time.

For many attendees, it’s one of the few chances to have face-to-face conversations rather than sending resumes into online systems and hoping for a reply. The Truckee Job Fair is also designed to be accessible. There is no cost to attend and it welcomes students, long-time residents, seasonal workers, and people new to the area. Some employers come prepared to conduct on-the-spot interviews, while others focus on sharing information about upcoming hiring needs. This flexibility makes the event useful whether someone is looking for immediate work or planning ahead for the next season.

Beyond individual job matches, the fair strengthens connections within the community.
Employers get a better sense of the local workforce, and job seekers gain insight into which businesses align with their skills and schedules.
