Welcome to the Government Action Committee (GAC) landing page. The GAC is dedicated to advocating for policies and initiatives that support the economic vitality and overall well-being of our community. We actively monitor legislative developments, engage with elected officials, and mobilize our members to ensure that the voice of our community is heard at all levels of government.
Our mission is to foster a business-friendly environment, promote sustainable growth, and address critical issues that impact our region. We believe that through informed advocacy and collaborative action, we can create a stronger, more prosperous future for everyone.
What We Do
Inform Members: Each month we are joined by a local organization to learn about their current advocacy policies or what they are working on.
Policy Monitoring: Track relevant legislation and government actions.
Advocacy: Represent community interests to local, state, and federal officials.
Community Engagement: Educate and mobilize members on key issues.
Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with other organizations to amplify our impact.
Calendar of Meetings and Speakers
The Government Action Committee meets the third Wednesday of each month from 10:00 - 11:30 in the Trout Creek Conference Room at Truckee Town Hall. Meetings are open to all members of the Truckee Chamber in good standing.
