Community Connections Program
Home Is Where You Belong
Home is not where you live, it’s where you belong. When you have an opportunity to meet people and develop relationships and acquaintances, your sense of belonging increases. These acquaintances can provide connections to other people, things to do, places to explore, and ways to get involved. We host six events every year where you can meet new people and businesses in our community.
Community Connections is a program developed by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Truckee designed to:
Community Connections: Sip, Savor & Learn: A Hands-On Dinner Experience
May 21, 2026 | 5:00 p.m.
Join us for a welcoming, hands-on Community Connections experience centered around simple, nourishing food that fits into real life. In this interactive session, you’ll build your own colorful, flavor-packed vitality bowl while learning easy ways to elevate everyday ingredients like grains, legumes, vegetables, herbs, and spices. As we gather, sip, and enjoy our creations, you’ll pick up practical tips on batch cooking, layering flavors, and making meals more energizing and satisfying, without overcomplicating your routine.
We’ll also explore approachable nutrition concepts, including how to turn everyday foods into gut-friendly, blood sugar–supporting fuel. Sip wine or a mocktail, connect with fellow community members, and leave inspired with ideas you can use all week long, plus there will be a delicious take-home treat! Connecting with the program is free and you will then receive our newsletter with information about upcoming Community Connections events that are held throughout the year. Additionally, you’ll learn about community events, volunteer opportunities, ways to engage, be heard and make a difference in your community. We won’t bombard your inbox, we promise!
2. Attend Our Community Connections Events!
Explore all that Truckee has to offer by attending our Community Connections events held throughout the year.
