Reminder: Face Masks Required in Indoor Public Settings

As a town and community we've been through a lot together since COVID-19 first came into our lives in March 2020. Businesses supported each other; restaurants changed gears to provide hot meals for those in need; medical, emergency services, and nonprofit staff worked tirelessly; hotels provided rooms for medical staff and those without shelter; educators changed the way they teach (several times), and neighbors helped neighbors.

The Omicron Variant of COVID-19 is rapidly spreading throughout the country. Please help stop the predicted winter surge and stay vigilant to protect yourself and our community. As a reminder:

  • Masks are required in indoor public settings for everyone's safety.
  • Please keep washing your hands frequently as we did in Spring 2020.
  •  Get your booster shot (or vaccine if you haven't yet). Vaccination info here:
  • Please stay home if you're sick.

Truckee has done a great job following guidelines and limiting the spread of COVID-19 in our community (see the chart below - Truckee is represented in the mint green line).

Let's keep it up so we can keep businesses open in our beautiful winter wonderland. Here's to a happy and healthy 2022.
