Stomp Sessions is back again this summer offering skateboard camps at the Truckee Skatepark with local experts and pros powered by the Stomp Sessions mobile and web platform.  Starting June 17th continuing through August 23rd, summer camps will be weekly (Mon-Fri) from 9am-1pm. Stomp  uses a progression-based skill road map to help beginners learn the foundations of skateboarding, intermediate skaters progress their ollies, flips tricks and rails and advanced skaters take their skills to new levels with airs, ledges and flip trick combos. Tahoe Summer Camps/Tahoe Expedition Academy

Looking for a unique adventure-filled summer camp where your child can also learn new skills? Tahoe Summer Camps by Tahoe Expedition Academy offers several options focusing on art, hi-tech, wilderness, and lacrosse. With professional artisans, educators, makers, and athletes as guides, kids can learn robotics, video game design, sailing, climbing, archery and much more. Moody’s Jazz Camp

Every summer Moody’s Jazz Camp in downtown Truckee brings world-class musicians to town to teach and collaborate with young local musicians. Created by  JJ Morgan, managing partner of Moody’s Bistro Bar & Beats, the camp guides aspiring musicians toward an appreciation for jazz, and an intimacy with the art form’s inherent qualities of creativity, courage, and the expression of individuality through music. Between July 8th-13th this year expect terrific street corner jazz performances in downtown Truckee and on Moody’s stage by the Jazz campers and artists in residence. Hundreds of kids age 9-18 have benefited from this tuition-free camp, produced as a labor of love by Morgan and the visiting artists. The camp website will be updated soon. Camp Sugar Bowl

 

 

 

 

Camp Sugar Bowl is provided in partnership with Gateway Mountain Center, a leader in innovative, outdoor education for youth. Their expert faculty are comprised of credentialed and advanced degree educators, environmental scientists, world-class mountaineers and certified guides. Northstar Kid’s Adventure Club

The Kid’s Adventure Club at Northstar California is filled with fun and adventure for children ages 4-12. The Adventure Club is open Monday through Friday through August 31st and offers the flexibility of enrolling on a day-to-day basis. Supervised activities include nature hikes, mini golf, gem panning, roller skating, bungee jumping and more. Squaw Kids Adventure Camp

This summer let your child explore and discover adventure at Squaw Valley through outdoor activities and art exploration alongside our experienced counselors and other kids. The Squaw Kids Adventure Camp is offered Monday through Friday, June 24 – August 30, 2019, from 9am-3pm. The Squaw Kids Adventure Camp will also be offered on the holiday weekend of July 6th and 7th and on July 20th and 21st in conjunction with Wanderlust Festival. visit squawalpine.com/events.

Woodward Tahoe Camps

Summer camps at Woodward Tahoe are a sleepover every night! Woodward’s state-of-the-art “bunker” is located adjacent to Boreal Ski Resort in Truckee. Woodward offers ten different week-long skills camps from snowboard and free ski (yes, snow sports through June!) to skateboard, mountain bike, BMX, scooter, parkour, digital media and cheer. Campers are placed in groups by age and ability level and then given instruction by some of the best pros in the business. Tahoe Donner Day Camps

With its pools, tennis courts, golf course, equestrian center, and beach club marina on Donner Lake, Tahoe Donner is an ideal summer destination for the family. Tahoe Donner’s summer day camp program focuses on outdoor education and environmental awareness. Weekly themes range from “Going Green” to “Wilderness Survival” to “Mad Science of Tahoe”  and day campers can participate in activities such as swimming, rock climbing, beach outings, hiking, horseback riding, and exploring the Tahoe wilderness.  Truckee Donner Recreation and Parks District

Truckee Donner Recreation and Parks District offer fun-filled action-packed days with three different camps for kids entering 1st– 9th grades. Camp Trudaca caters to 1st – 5th graders with arts and crafts, organized games, sports, water play, nature activities, and much more. Once a week campers go to West End Beach and every Friday the camp goes offsite to places such as Sand Harbor, Wild Island, or a roller skating rink! Camp Adventure is all about summer in the mountains for 4th – 6th-grade active kids featuring hiking, biking, skating, bowling, rock climbing, golfing and beach activities. Field trips to water parks, movie theaters, horseback riding, and other exciting destinations are also part of the curriculum. Camp RAD is about having the most radical summer possible for 6th – 9th-grade kids. Campers go on daily trips to exciting adventures from kayaking to water parks and paintball to hidden lakes with certified staff who are passionate about having fun outdoors and returning safely.
