Over 260 Truckee businesses attended in January – stay involved, have fun, add your point-of-view…we need you! Bring a business friend who missed January, all are welcome!
The Truckee Chamber is excited to be bringing business owners back together for quick 90 minute sessions to review outcomes from the January Business Speaks meetings. YOUR input helped Truckee Tomorrow investors focus on three projects.
1. Growing Our Own
Build on current internships happening, identify skill sets of employees and marry results with implementation of vocational opportunities, and more
2. Develop an Employee Co-op
Connecting employers to employees, marry part-time jobs to create full-time employment opportunities, and more
3. Develop Truckee as an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
Encourage tech start-ups, establish incentives for independent entrepreneurs, and more
In April, you will participate in small group discussions about each project – what’s missing, what is important to consider? How can you help?
You will also hear updates from TTUSD and Sierra College on current internship programs and an update on the Mountain Housing Council.
