Last Call: Truckee’s Taproom Tour

Summer in Truckee means early morning paddling on Donner Lake, mountain bike rides and pump track sessions. Donner train tunnel hikes and rock climbing, floating the river and hanging out in downtown. In my mind, a cold beer or a great glass of wine is the perfect pairing to all of those activities, and a great way to end a day spent with family and friends outdoors. Here’s where you can find tasty craft beer and fine wines that are sure to be the icing on the cake after your outdoor adventures.

Alibi Ale Works Taproom

Why it’s so great:
It’s in the water. No, seriously. The newest addition to the Truckee craft beer scene, Alibi Ale Works opened its Truckee Public House in early July 2017. Their creative ales are hand crafted with 100% Lake Tahoe water, and rotate frequently, offering a diverse variety of interesting flavors. When you walk into Alibi’s Truckee location, you’ll quickly see it was designed to be a place where people gather and socialize. The taproom features a stage for live music, a large bar, long elbow bar and community tables, making it easy to relax with old friends and make new ones.
