Families Love the Truckee Bike Park!

Do you and the family ride mountain bikes or want to introduce your children to mountain biking? If so, Truckee is one of the best places to learn and ride at the Truckee Bike Park!  Recently voted top-3 places to ride in California by Best Things CA, the Truckee Bike Park has been giving families, kids, and adults a fun, exciting, safe, and well maintained place to ride for the past 6-years.  From folks interested in getting into the sport, families and kids on striders, to the advanced rider looking for big jumps, the park has a diverse offering of trails that are fun for everyone.

What began with a passionate idea sketched out on a napkin by two Truckee residents over a beer, the Truckee Bike Park formed and quickly became a reality with strong support from the community and the Town of Truckee.  Today, the park features some of the best flow lines and the smoothest strider/pump track for all skills levels to progress.  Along with beginner, to advanced jump lines.

If you and your children are just getting into riding or want to fine tune some of your skills, the Truckee Bike Park features a Next Level Bike Skills Program with certified coaches to help get you dialed.  The coaches will teach you and your family the fundamentals of pumping, jumping, turning, and dropping on the bike in a fun and supportive environment for children.  The Truckee Bike Park also offers scholarships for children facing financial hardships with the support and help from Biking for a Better World, and the Clif Bar Foundation.

The Truckee Bike Park is open to the public from sunrise to sunset (weather permitting), seven days a week during the summer months. The 30,000 square foot pump track and strider track can be enjoyed by anyone. It is designed to help fine tune bike handling skills and timing. The object is to maintain momentum throughout the course with minimal pedaling.

Dirt Jumps

From beginner to intermediate lines these dirt jumps will have you itching to get airborne. Check the map for beginner to advanced lines. All lines do cross so remember to look before you leap.

Flow Lines

The flow lines at The Park are a great way to learn how to maintain speed and grace while progressing through various jumps. This is where riders can strut their stuff and show off their own unique styles.

Dual Slalom Track

The dual slalom allows riders of all skill levels to race side-by-side. The course consists of rollers and berms. The dual slalom course gives riders the chance to challenge their friends head-to-head. Check events to participate in upcoming races.

XC Loop Trail

Starting just off of the parking lot this 1.5 mile short track loop around The Park will get any new rider ready for the trails. It is a great place to test cornering and maneuverability with few natural features. At The Park entrance there is secondary start for the single track trail that will put you out on the return path for the flow lines and dual slalom.

Drop Zone

With 5 progression of drop levels anyone can work on their drops. Remember to look before you leap, follow the return path and have fun! There are 2 wooden drops and 3 rock drops.
