Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation that advocates early detection and a healthy, active, and sustainable lifestyle as the best means for breast cancer prevention. Founded in 1996, B4BC empowers young people to make positive choices that promote lifelong wellness through outreach, prevention, sustainability, and support programs.
This summer you’re invited to Skate the Lake with Boarding for Breast Cancer on August 16th + 17th. It’s the 15th Annual Skate the Lake presented by Suja, a 28-mile Skate-Bike-Roll-athon that raises awareness and funds for B4BC’s education, prevention and survivorship programs. Skate the Lake runs along the majestic shores of Lake Tahoe and the beautiful Truckee River. The event is a collective ride for breast cancer awareness and prevention, that attracts skateboarders, longboarders, rollerskaters, bikers, and bladers (essentially anyone on wheels). Participants are encouraged to ride in honor of a loved one who is or has battled breast cancer. All ages and abilities are encouraged and welcome. Learn more at b4bc.org/skatethelake or on their social media channels, @b4bc and @b4bcfoundation.
