Meet Yuba Forest Restoration (YFR)

Meet Yuba Forest Restoration (YFR)

Meet Matt Merrill (above, on right) of Yuba Forest Restoration (YFR), one of Truckee’s newest Chamber Members. YFR founder Matt Merrill’s first trip to the area was on business. Matt, an outdoorsman and avid fly-fisherman, found that the chance to wet a line in the Truckee river after a long day’s work was enough to for him to make the move out.

Otis McDonald at Moonshine Ink’s 13th Tiny Porch Concert

Otis McDonald at Moonshine Ink’s 13th Tiny Porch Concert

Otis McDonald is a master of blues, jazz, and rock and roll. This multi-instrumentalist and YouTube star joined us on our tiny porch. Not only did he mix his own beats on the spot, but he even hopped on a raft and floated down the Truckee River. This was one of our favorite Tiny Porch introductions yet. McDonald and Adam Theis, the inimitable trombonist from San Francisco,

Local Businesses Provide Protective Gear & Supplies

Local Businesses Provide Protective Gear & Supplies

Changing gears has benefited the community through donations and allowed them to retain some staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mountain Hardware & Sports and our Truckee grocery stores and pharmacies have also been valued resources.
