Hania's B&B is located on the hillside within walking distance from Historical Downtown Truckee, providing an old west atmosphere with ample shopping and dining opportunities. It is conveniently located just one block from the Amtrak and Greyhound station. There is easy access to Hwy 80 between Reno and Sacramento and approximately a half hour drive from the International Airport in Reno or just a few miles from the Truckee Airport. Also, Hania's is just minutes from world famous ski resorts such as Squaw Valley, Northstar, Alpine Meadows and Sugar Bowl. For those that enjoy gambling, Nevada is right around the corner. Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake and the Truckee River offer lots of summer and fall activities, as well as the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains.

This simple Victorian white house with blue trim was built in 1884 and totally renovated and modernized in 1997. With a beautiful garden and panaramic mountain views, the house is decorated in Southwestern style with rustic furniture, original artwork, paintings, and a touch of European elegance. Very private and cozy. It is truly a four season destination. Perfect for a vacation or weekend get-away or to celebrate special occasions.

Spacious ROOMS with very comfortable Queen size beds, private bathrooms, TV with VCR and phone or modem outlet. Individually decorated with pine lodge pole furniture. colorful, quality bedspreads and linens. Down comforters and pillows as well as flannel sheets for warmth in the winter time. FULL GOURMET BREAKFAST is served in the dining room, or outside on the deck with views over the garden and the Sierras, or in your bed. Morning meals are served on elegant, European china and includes juices, fruits, pastries, hot beverages as well as a variety of home specials such as eggs a la Hania, eggs Benedict with home made sauce, Polish-style potato or apple pancakes, delicious omelets or crepes with cinnamon apples. Vegetarian breakfast available. Breakfast is served between 8:00 am and 10:00 am or upon private arrangement.

In the afternoon, complimentary WINE is served from a rustic bar in front of the wood-burning stove. Candlite and good music makes a truly cozy atmosphere. For a special occasion, a bottle of champagne will be delivered to your room to enhance your celebration. HOSPITALITY: English, Polish, German and Russian speaking innkeeper. Year-round HOT TUB in the garden with a panoramic mountain view. Fresh Terry-cloth robes provided by the management for your convenience. Just relax and enjoy a mountain sunset, full moon and shining stars or sparkling snow. Beautiful, cultivated GARDEN perfect for strolling, relaxing and taking in the clean mountain air. Flowers are blooming form early April to late October. Healthy herbs are grown to provide seasoning for your breakfast enjoyment. An area is available for snow play in the winter.

SPORTS ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA: Golf, tennis, horseback riding, boating, fly-fishing, hiking, mountain biking, rafting, camping, rock climbing, swimming, as well as, downhill & cross country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, sledding and ice-fishing.
